"A-Alfred?" You murmured.
He winked at you. "I've come to rescue you again, little pirate."
Vash drew his sword and stood between you and the American. "You will not be taking her anywhere."
"I don’t think that that’s up to you." Alfred said, giving the man a cold glare as he drew his own sword. "I think the little pirate should decide for herself."
"My daughter is not a pirate!" You turned to see your mother, standing from the pew. "And she wants to stay here and marry Vash!"
You were silent. Oh how you wished you didn’t have to tell your mother the truth. You sighed and then turned to Alfred.
"Give me the sword. I have something to show everyone here." You muttered and stepped out from behind Vash and held your hand out for the sword.
"You sure you want to do this?" Alfred asked.
"I'm positive. If I get to badly cut up, take me to him, ok?"
Alfred nodded and handed over the sword. "If you're sure."
I nodded and took it. "Thank you." I turned to Vash and wielded the sword. "Vash Zwingli, I challenge you to a duel for my hand in marriage."
Vash's eyes widened as he looked at me. "I will not fight a woman."
"You don’t have a choice. Either you fight me and win, causing me to stay, or you lose or don’t fight at all and I leave with Alfred." I said, glaring at him.
"(Name)?!" You looked at your mother once more. "What is the meaning of this?! Why are you fighting with a pirate?!"
"Haven't you been paying attention, mother? I am a pirate now and I will not stand by and get married to someone I do not love when I don’t have someone to protect anymore." You replied. "Besides, getting married to someone else would be cheating on my true fiancée."
I nodded. "Arthur Kirkland." I turned back to Vash. "You better be ready to kill me because if I won't lose unless I'm dead." I said, glaring at him.
Vash growled. "Fine. Have it your way."
You didn’t need to be told twice. You charged at Vash, your movements slowed down quite a lot due to the wedding dress. He blocked easily and kicked you down. You stood up again and rushed again. Vash held his sword out like a spear and jabbed as you rushed. You narrowly dodged it, getting your side cut. Blood blossomed on your right side, the crimson red standing out against the white of the dress.
You staggered a bit, but you rushed again, nicking the man on the arm while he got you shoulder. More blood. Some wedding day, huh? Maybe they'll think twice before trying to take a pirate from her ship. As the fight continued, both you and Vash became pretty bloodied, but you more so then Vash because of the weight of the wedding dress based on what you were normally used to fighting in. You fell to your knee's in front of Alfred, expecting him to pick you up at any minute and begin running off with you.
Vash held his bloodied sword up to your face. "Yield."
"Never." You huffed out, using the sword as a cane to get me standing.
You looked behind yourself at Alfred and gave him a nod. He sighed, rolling his eyes a bit with a smirk. He walked up to you, you handed him the sword. In the blink of an eye he had disarmed Vash. He stood over him an smirked.
"Think twice before trying to take our little pirate again." He said.
He walked back up to you and, still smirking, he picked up bridal style. You started to feel dizzy and breathless as you wrapped your bloody arms around his neck.
"L-let's go." You breathed out.
"Don’t speak. You lost a lot of blood." He said as he walked out of the church. "Arthur isn’t going to be happy."
"Screw him. I'll deal with him later." You said, laughing a bit. "Just… let me sleep for a bit." You said.
"No! Don’t go to sleep!" Alfred said.
"I promise I'll wake up. I'm just tired." You said.
Before Alfred could say anything else to you, your body went slack in his arms and you were lost to the world. For how long, that was hard to say.
"Damn it!" Alfred shouted as he started running to the row boat that Peter was sitting in, waiting for you and Alfred to get there so you could all go to the ship.
Alfred booked it and soon, he reached the rowboat. He laid your body in the boat and pushed out, peter looked at the man curiously.
"What happened?!" He said.
"She stupidly decided to fight face and had her ass handed to her. Shes asleep. Bind her wounds the best you can. Use the dress." Alfred ordered, hopping into the boat and began rowing to the ship.
Peter nodded and go to work. He had most of the serious wounds covered before they reached the ship. Alfred held the rowboat close to the pirate ship for just a bit longer while Peter finished up the rest of the wounds. When he was done, the two of them worked to get you on Arthur's ship, praying that the ruthless pirate wasn't on deck or in his room.
Luck seemed to be on their side when they saw that Arthur wasn’t anywhere on the deck. They rushed you into the cabin and headed for Arthur's room. This time, however, luck was not with them.
Arthur was sitting at his desk, working on some paperwork when Alfred opened the door.
"Damn it." The American muttered.
Arthur turned around when he heard the voice of his first mate. He was about to ask where you were, but the words were stuck in his throat. He saw you lying motionless in Alfred's arms, white as the dress you were wearing, minus all of the blood stains.
"What in god's name happened?!" Arthur shouted.
"She fought Vash. She wanted to prove a point to everyone in the church." Alfred replied. "But the dress slowed her down. I got her here as fast as I could. But she's already lost a lot of blood."
Arthur was about to shout more when he realized that yelling would do nothing for you now. Instead he instructed the two men to lay you down on his bed, through gritted teeth. Then he told the two to get out. When they were gone, he pulled up the chair and sat down. He would just have to wait to see if you woke up.
Your eye's fluttered opened slowly. Everything was so bright, it was hard to see anything. You heard someone call your name, all though it sounded like your name was being called from under water.
"M-mom?" Your hand found its way to your throat. Your voice didn’t sound like your own.
"No, love. It's me." That voice. It was familiar.
You turned your head to see Arthur Kirkland. His face was lined with worry and it looked like he hasn’t eaten in days. You might as well punish him for that.
"Who are you?" you asked.
Arthur's eyes widened, believing for a fraction of a second that you really have forgotten again. "You really don’t remember?"
"Remember what?" You said as you began to sat up, finding the task to be a bit daunting. "Where am I? How long have I been out?"
"You are on my ship and you’ve been asleep for almost a week." Arthur said, looking down, honestly believing your ruse.
You looked at the blonde man. "Arthur?"
He looked up at you. "What?"
You smiled a bit and leaned in a bit. "I'm home."
He blinked a bit but before he was able to respond, you pressed your lips to his. Shocked at first, the pirate didn’t respond, but then he regained his composure, realizing that you still remembered and kissed you back, pulling you gently into his lap. When you broke apart you smiled at him.
"Can you do me a favor?"
"What is it, love?"
"I need my clothes, my sword, and I would like to see Alfred for a moment." You said.
"As you wish." He said.
He left, brought you some clothes, and as you changed, he retrieved Alfred. You were pulling on your boots after putting your sword on your back when the men walked in. Alfred looked at you and when he saw that you were awake, he scooped you up into a bear hug.
"I'm so glad your all right, (name)," he said.
"I'm fine, Alfie." You said. "still a bit dizzy and now my ribs hurt, but I'm fine."
"Oh… sorry." He said before putting you down. "So what did you want?"
"I wanted to give you something for rescuing me." You said.
You smiled and stood up on your toes. "This." You said before placing a light kiss on his cheek.
You noticed Arthur glare a bit at the two of you. Alfred on the other hand, smirked.
"It was my pleasure as a hero to rescue the damsel in distress." Alfred said.
"I'm not a damsel, Alfred F. Jones." You said. "I am a pirate."
Alfred smirked. "Damned straight." He said, and then he turned to the door. "I had better go make sure the crew is still doing their jobs."
You nodded and when he was gone, Arthur walked up to you. Without a word, he bent down and smashed his lips onto yours, holding you against him as he sat down on the bed. You, taken by surprise, blinked, but kissed him back, wrapping your arms around his neck. Arthur slowly laid back on the bed, holding you on top of him. When the two of you broke apart, you raised an eyebrow at him.
"What is this all about, Mr. Kirkland." You said.
"That’s Captain Kirkland." Arthur said with a slight playful glare. "And because you kissed my first mate. I have to make sure you understand that you are mine, now, (name)."
You chuckled a bit. "It was to thank him." You said. "Don’t sound so jealous. I know your mine."
Arthur raised an eyebrow. "Oh really now?" he rolled over and hovered above you. "From this position it sure looks like your mine." He smirked and went in for another round of making out.
When you broke apart this time, you smiled up at the pirate, taking off his hat. "I love you, you know." You said.
"I love you, too." Arthur said
