Peter shook his head. "No. They'll need to do that part themselves. But I think you’re the only one who can get Arthur and the Bad Touch Trio to work together."
You tilt your head to the side. "Why can't we bust them out then?"
"Vash has the key."
You were silent for a moment. Then you let out a sigh, looking to the side. "I'm getting married in a week. I don't think I'll be able to get those four to work together. I can wipe away years' worth of hate in one night."
"You don’t need to make them like each other, I mean, I know you certainly won't want to see any of the Bad Touch Trio ever again after this if you can help it. They just need to work together to take down Vash and get out of here." Peter explained.
You sigh, following him through the halls that led to the cells. "I'll try. But how will we be able to get the key from Vash?"
"I'll take care of that." Peter said, smirking devilishly.
You nodded and Peter opened up another iron door, leading to the actual cells. Your eyes widened and you felt a smile break apart your face as you saw Arthur pacing in the cell with Alfred, Gilbert, Francis, and Antonio. Francis was the one to notice you first.
"Ah, mon cher! What brings you 'ere?" Francis said, smiling warmly, walking up to the bars.
Arthur, not knowing a lick of French, turned around, a scary look on his face, like he was ready to kill whomever it was that was walking to the bars. "What the bloody hell are you here for now, Vash?!"
You stepped back, a bit scared from the yelling. "Uh… Arthur… it's just me…" you said with a soft voice.
Arthur blinked and his eyes widened when he saw that it was you. "(N-Name). I-I didn’t know it was you. I'm sorry, love." He said as he walked up to the bars, gripping them in his hands.
You nodded, stepping closer to the cell, placing your hands lightly over Arthurs. "It's ok."
He gently moved his hands out from under yours to cup your cheek lightly. "What are you doing here?"
"Peter brought me." You said. "He told me that the five of you have to work together to get out of here and back on the waters."
"I hope you don’t mean I have to work with the BTT."
"Ve're right here you know, dummkopf." You both looked and glared at Gilbert.
"Just… go away for now Gil." You said.
He glared back at you and made a show of walking to the corner and turning around as if giving the two of you some privacy. You shook your head and sighed.
Arthur rubbed your cheek in small circles. "Why would I even have to work with that wanker?"
"Because if you're going to get to the port and get your ships, you're going to have to fight your way through the guards." You explain. "And… my wedding is in a week and I don’t want you here to see that." You looked to the side.
Arthurs eyes widened for a fraction of a second, but then they softened and he turned your face back to look at him. "What makes you think I'm leaving here without you, love?"
"Because there will be no way you'll be able to get to me. The wedding is going to have more guards then the last time and I won't be able to run in a dress. Especially a wedding dress." You said. "I can't risk you getting hurt…"
Arthur sighed and bent down, pulling your head up, and leaning his head down, to kiss you lightly, sighing. "If that’s what you want, then I shall do what you wish."
You felt tears well up in your eyes, he wasn’t even fighting for you. But… that’s what you wanted right? You wanted him to get out of here alive. As long as he was alive, then you were happy.
You stepped back out of his reach, nodding. "All right. Just please… get out of here alive."
Arthur nodded. "I'll always love you."
"And I you."
He watched as you walked away, sighing. You honestly thought that he was going to leave you to get married to someone other than him? Ha! Have you no faith?!
Arthur turned to look at Gilbert, Alfred, Antonio, and Francis, sighing. "Look. You know that I would never, ever, work with you under normal circumstances, but… I don’t have a choice this time."
"We all 'ave choices, mon ami." Francis said, leaning against the bars with his arms crossed.
"No. I don’t have a choice… because I'm going to need your help to get (name) out of here and to escape." Arthur said.
"Und vhat makes you zhink zhat ve vould help you?" Gilbert said.
"Because even if we were to just escape without her, there is no way that we will get out of here on just our own."
Alfred stood behind Arthur and looked at him as if to make sure that he was sure doing this was the right thing. Arthur gave him a small nod and sighed, turning to look at the other three.
"Well. What do you say?" Arthur asked.
