You woke up to Arthur saying your name and the pinging noise of the plane intercom. You blinked the sleep out of your eyes and looked at Arthur.
"We've landed." He said and smiled at you.
You yawned and stood up. He stood also and reached into the overhead storage compartment and pulled out your backpack and his duffel bag. The two of you walked off the plane and were soon met by Eliza and Gilbert.
"So how are ve getting to your house?" Gilbert asked.
"Since my parents don’t know I came home, a cab would be our best bet." You replied.
The four of you walked out of the airport with your bags in tow. You tried to hail a cab and after about four or five tires, you finally got one. You got in the front with the driver and Eliza, Arthur, and Gilbert piled in to the back. You told the driver the address to your home and you were off. Almost twenty minutes later, you arrived at the familiar front door of your house. You got out, giving the driver his money, and walked on the front door, knocking on it, not sure if you should just walk in.
Moments later, the door opened to reveal your mother. "Oh, (name)! What are you doing home?" She asked.
"How could you tell me you and dad got a divorce over text and not expect me to come home and get some answers." You said and you walked in, your friends behind you.
Your mom looked around you and saw the other three people around you. "Who are your friends?" She asked and her eyes rested on Gilbert.
"This is Arthur Kirkland." You pointed to your British boyfriend. "This is Elizabeta Héderváry." She waved, smiling pleasantly. "And this is my brother, Gilbert Beilschmidt. I don’t suppose you remember him at all, do you?" You said with a little too much venom.
Your mother sighed. "I knew the two of you would meet one day." She said. "I guess Ludwig didn’t come along with you, Gil? I thought he would have insisted."
Gilbert shook his head. "Nein. He's back at ze school."
"So now would be a good time to start explaining." You said to your mom. "Why do I have two brothers that I've never met? Why did you and dad get me a divorce and why did you send me away to get it?"
Your mother shook her head and sat down. "I guess I should say that you're not your father's child." She looked you in the eyes. "When we were first married, everything was great, new, exciting, and fun. But as the years past that all went away, the romance disappeared. Then one day, I met Gilbert's father and well… we hit it off." She rubbed her forehead. "Needless to say… you were conceived… your father didn’t know at first. But then a letter came from the school that we sent you too. It was about a year ago that we got it, but we didn’t want to send you quite yet."
"What letter? What do you mean?" You asked.
Your mother got up and opened a drawer filled with papers. She searched through it and then pulled out the one from Hetalia Academy. She just looked at it, not handing it to you yet.
"It explained that you weren’t normal, that you weren’t something that your father and I could have conceived on our own together. That’s when he found out that I had an affair. He filed for the divorce when you were an eighth grader, but he didn’t want you to find out." She handed you the paper, but you didn’t quite read it yet, your mother continued talking. "The letter stated that you would be admitted to the school when you entered high school. So your father seized the opportunity to get the divorce without your knowledge until it was finalized."
"You're speaking about her as if she's an 'it'" Arthur said and stood close to you.
"Read the letter, sweetheart." Your mother said.
You were scared to. You didn’t know why, but you were scared. You swallowed and looked down at the letter.
Dear Parent/Guardian of (Full Name) (Last Name),
We are pleased to inform you that your daughter has been admitted to Hetalia Academy for her high school and possibly her college years.
We have heard that your daughter has certain personality traits that make her unique from the rest of the human population. Does she exhibit an antisocial personality type? Does she have no friends? Does she not get a lot well with other people her age?
The reason your daughter is like this is because she is not a human being as you have come to understand them. She is different. She is a personified Country, a country of which we have yet to identify.
The words slurred together after that. Everything on that piece of paper became gibberish. After it said that you weren’t human and that you were a personified country, you couldn’t focus on the words any more. You stared at the paper, not seeing the words any more.

You rush into the school, pinning your hair up as your heels click on the dark grey pavement, strands of your hair tickling your face as the wind plays with them. You had meant to be up early today to get ready for your first day as an intern at this school, but your alarm clock didn't go off due to a freak power outage during the night. You had rushed to shower and comb out your hair before having an extra three minutes after getting dressed to blow dry your (h/c) locks. You put on your lucky bracelet as you ran out the door that morning, crossing your fingers that all would go well, or at least better than your last internship at a school.
